Title Searches

RESOLUTION 00-01 reads: 2. Title Companies and Real Estate Companies. Requests by title companies and real estate companies for Township officials to research Township records concerning specific parcels of land within the Township, shall be charged a fee of $10.00 per parcel for the cost of the Township personnel to research Township records.

Dog Licenses

We no longer issue dog licenses here at our Township Hall, however, you can go to Ottawa County’s website to obtain instructions on how to purchase them online. Click here to visit MiOttawa.org for more information.

You may purchase a license in person at the Spring Lake Township office at 101 S Buchanan St, Spring Lake, MI 49456.

When are summer taxes billed?
They are billed the first week of July and are due September 14th.
When are winter taxes billed?

Winter Taxes are billed the first week of December and due February 14th. A 3% late fee is added after February 14th. Taxes must be paid directly to Ottawa County after February 28th.

Will you send a copy of my tax bill to my mortgage company?
If your mortgage company is listed on your Tax bill, we have already sent a copy to them. However, it is still your responsibility to make sure they do pay your taxes.
How do I qualify for a homestead tax exemption?
A Principal Residence Exemption Affidavit must be filed with the Township by May 1st. Homeowners must occupy their home by May 1st in order to be eligible for the homestead exemption for that entire year.
